Rangergirl WEEK

I'm a couple days behind on getting the word out, so I'm announcing this week "Rangergirl Week." I just got my copy -- have you got yours???

Yep, fellow writer and pal Tim Pratt's first novel, The Strange Adventures of Rangergirl is out, at last. I had the pleasure of reading this book 3 years ago (was it that long ago already? Damn!), and I have fond memories of reading it at the Snowbird Mountain Lodge in the North Carolina mountains during a snowy weekend getaway with Elizabeth, celebrating her birthday. I can't wait to read it again and visit the coffeeshop Genius Loci and see Marzi, Beej, Denis, and everyone else again.

This is one of those books you have to read to appreciate, because Tim packs so much cool stuff into it -- comics, coffee shops, creative types (serious and pretentious and everyone in between), shadowy creatures, magic doors, gods, and more. It's available as a trade paperback from Bantam, with a kick-ass cover that's already been bent-up and worn for you.

Check it out and see what Rangergirl Week's all about. Oh, and you can also read a free Rangergirl yarn at the Rangergirl Web site. Enjoy!

It's so cool seeing my friends get rewarded for all their hard work. Tim, I raise a shot glass of rotgut in your honor. Maybe two. Later!
