I've been meaning to post the good news before this, but I just haven't had a free second. Plus, there's all sorts of cool stuff going on right now -- family visiting tonight, a wonderful Father's day, great progress on the novel revising, fun times with Drew and Lizzie -- that whenever I thought about doing a journal entry, I was afraid it would go on and on and on...

So -- after over two years and countless rejections, I'm please to announce that my story "Painting Haiti" was accepted for an as-yet-unnamed urban fantasy anthology last night! Sweet.

Luckily, the editor was patient enough to give the story a chance and let me fix it up, per her suggestions. And, as always, the story is about 10 times better as a result.

And now, looking at my Stories page, I guess I'd better get cracking if I'm going to hit my 50th published story any time soon. Hell, I've only got one story out there right now as it is! Time to quit celebrating and get back to work! Later...
