What's changed since my last entry...?

So what's new since I last wrote in here? Well, I'm still listening to the Boss -- currently singing "We Shall Overcome." Can't seem to get enough of this CD. My new favorite is "My Oklahoma Home," a song about a guy who loses his farm, his house, and his new wife to tornadoes ("Mister, as I bent to kiss her, she got picked up by a twister!"). Good tunes to write by.

What has changed is that I am done tweaking The All Nations Team! I sat down this morning to add some new things I thought the book needed, and I realized that, yep, what I have was enough. Adding more would just throw things off. And I'd just end up taking that new stuff back out again, and the tweaking process would never end!

And of course, I'm already thinking of the next project. I'd love to do that short story idea I've had for a couple months now before diving into the rewrite of Sixteen Miles.

But we'll see. I'm a bit burnt out, here at the end of a very crazy month. I may just take it easy and get my head together again. Spend some QT with the fam, that sorta thing.

And speaking of fam, my big sis sent me the following photo from my reading -- was it only just two weeks ago? Seems like an eternity. Here's me, yakking it up in front of a crowd of about 50 folks in Dyersville, Iowa:

So there you go. Evidence of the reading. It really happened! Now if only I had a photo of the crowd. That would be much more interesting to me than a photo of me... Later!
