Okay, the youngster's down for his nap. The phone upstairs next to his room has been disconnected. The missus is at work. The dog has had his bath. All my chores are done. I've got my big mug of coffee next to me. I even brushed my teeth.

And so, after re-reading the long version of my old synopsis for the novel, I'm ready to dive back in at page one and chapter one of Sixteen Miles from Everywhere. I hope to read (and take a ton of notes on) at least the first third of the book this afternoon before Drew wakes up.
