Instead of posting a length journal about it, I thought I'd link you to the first of a couple entries on my "LiveJournal," a journal where I've started to ramble on and on about my latest writing project (in this case, the revisions to Sixteen Miles from Everywhere). All that got put aside when I learned that my sister and her family lost their house and one of their dogs to a fire early Wednesday morning. Please send your positive thoughts and hopes their way.

We're still in disbelief here. And we need to check to make sure we've got everything covered in our homeowner's insurance. You should check on this too. Everyone, take care, and be SAFE!

Not much else going on -- Lizzie's at work, Drew's napping, and we've been digging more holes in our back yard and sticking small trees and bushes in them. Next I get to uproot chunks of grass and replace them with pinestraw for flower beds. Oh, my back. Later...
