I'm about a week or two behind on the latest journal fads and memes, but I've been meaning to write this for a while.

Below is a list of my published fiction for 2006 (available for nominating and voting for various awards, if you're into those things, which I'm not, since I've let all my writing group memberships lapse, like HWA and SFWA). :)

• "A Brotherhood of Trees," Aeon 6, February 2006 -- a contemporary fantasy story about two men who have fallen somewhat out of love, and then one of them finds something strange in the forest behind their house.
• "This Divided Land," Jigsaw Nation, May 2006 -- a sort-of fairy tale set in the future about two people in love who happen to be the same gender (hey, I wrote these first 2 at the same time, okay? Right around the same time as all the gay marriage debates a year and a half ago, I think)
• "Meet the Madfeet," Fantasy Gone Wrong, DAW Books, September 2006 -- evil hobbits! A dragon! And a freelance wizard! What else could ya want?

Oh, and then there's that novel, too -- Heart's Revenge by me as Julia C. Porter, which came out in May 2006.

Not a bad year for someone who hasn't written a ton of stories lately... And 2007 has 4 stories queued up already, which is nifty (and the Wannoshay novel tentatively scheduled for January 2008).
