I've never been one for writing during the daylight hours, but sometimes you just have to forge ahead and get those words out. So, with Mr. Drew napping and Lizzie working (she's finishing up her last Saturday-Sunday combo for while, thank God!), I sat down with a large Diet Coke laced with some rum I "accidentally" spilled into my cup, and wrote five pages. So far.

I'm getting there. Everything I'm working on now in the novel is window-dressing. Getting all the pieces shiny and in the right position. Okay, maybe I do have a teensy bit of new stuff to write. But the rest should all fall into place once I get going. The hard part is getting going.

And now I must be going again. More later -- I'm taking part in Jenn's "Virtual Lulu's," which runs from 1-4 PST on Sundays. Since I'm 3 hours ahead, I'm doing my best to get a jump on the crowd at he virtual coffee shop.

Which reminds me -- I need more caffeine. And I need to get back to writing!!! Later...
