Complete review of The Wannoshay Cycle from Booklist

Here's the full review of The Wannoshay Cycle from Booklist:
Fleeing their own dying planet, the Wannoshay crashed on an Earth torn by Middle East wars and a failing U.S. economy. Six people are particularly touched by the Wannoshay: a priest who worked in the Wannoshay camps as part of the effort to learn about them; a woman saved by a Wannoshay in a bottlingplant explosion; her daughter; a female Internet video maker who finds meaning in filming the Wannoshay; the last member of his tribe still on the res, who took in escaped Wannoshay; and a man who, out with the wrong people, nearly killed a Wannoshay. When the Wannoshay start exhibiting signs of a strange soul sickness that may spread to humans, it’s up to the ragtag six to figure out what is going on in the Wannoshay mother ship, why the Wannoshay are falling sick, and what late means to them. Jasper imagines what first contact might be beyond Wellsian invasion—not hostile, necessarily, on either side, but rife with conflict due to misunderstandings and the problems faced by both cultures.
