Tubed and Sleeping

Mitch got the most amount of sleep in the Jasper household last night. Mom and Dad both tossed and turned, and lucky Dad got to wake him up at 11:30 to feed him a bottle, since he couldn't eat after midnight. He didn't even wake up, lucky guy. Then it was back to bed for a few more hours, awake at 3:30 a.m. for a why-can't-I-nurse crying jag, and then back to sleep until we were off to the hospital at 5:30 for the tubes surgery.

It went off without a hitch! We were back home around 9 a.m., and Mitch got to hang out with his Grandma for a while at the hospital -- she was sweet enough to come over and join us before and after the surgery to keep Mitch happy, and it worked smashingly. Thanks, G'ma!

And now the little guy is sleeping after a couple hours of fussiness, and Lizzie is off to pick up Drew from his Mimi and Poppy's house.

Soon, the Jasper clan will all be reunited and healthy. And getting full nights of sleep -- no more of this waking up 2-3 times per night. Thanks to everyone for the good vibes and positive thoughts -- y'all rock. Later!
