As Good as it Gets

Just watched this movie last night, and I can see how it might not be for everybody, but I found it both moving and funny. I've never been a Jack Nicholson fan, but he may have won me over with this performance. The scene where he tries to tell his secret to his neighbor about why the neighbor's dog seems to prefer him, is both very tender and hilarious.

I won't say Nicholson's transformation from wretch to sweety was entirely believable, but within the overall context of the story I was completely willing to go along for the ride.

Several vivid and quotable moments, one of them: "I'm drowning and you're describing the water."
