I give a thumbs down to the white elephant gift exchange. I'm less likely to go to a party if they are having one. Of course, I'm not likely to want to go to any party either, so ... I don't want to go "steal" a gift from someone, I don't want to sit around wondering whether my gift will be the least desired or least funny. Etc. Etc. So the w.e. is only slightly better than the games the church youth group used to play that sought to make you feel included in the group by embarrassing you. So, to sum up, I am the death of a party.
