well, if you must see one movie this year, i'd say make it 'bubba ho-tep'. that is, if you are interested in watching elvis and a black jfk fight a mummy to the death in a nursing home. this movie rules! bruce campbell rules! it just came out on dvd, so don't waste any time.

on another note, i am now reading don quixote at work cause i never have before and jeez, holy huge book. i made it through the 10 introductions, the notes by the translator, and the poems of praise and have gotten about 100 pages into the story. so far, i'm loving it, but there are tons of footnotes about the refences cervantes is making and at this point they are just annoying. if i had read it before and was reading it again for enjoyment, these would provide helpful background info that i wouldn't other wise know. but now, they're just sort of getting in the way to a good pleasurable first time read.

otherwise, at home i am reading the same nin diaries as t, and finding them enjoyable all over again. that woman could live!
