well, my first foray into the art of electrical work did not go so well. i assembled a lamp made from a cd spindle (as seen in ready made) and it looked great. i thought i did all the wiring right, but i thought wrong. i plugged it in and there was a brief flash of light, a pffft, and an acrid puff of smoke. back to home depot tomorrow.

i finished 'out of the silent planet' and have started 'perelandra' by c.s. lewis. enjoying both very much.

p.s. i forgot to mention how impressed i was with the diversity and quality of the boobs shown in 'sin city'. yay boobs!
