happy 4th everyone!

today i picked up my mom from the hospital (long story, but a nice 3 day rest for me). then i went to visit mama pajama at her campsite in francis slocum. got lethargic (hee hee) there and enjoyed the sounds of nature and decided to pitch a tent next weekend at the site next to her.

morons abound today, setting off heaps of fireworks all night, while i prepare for my music and fireworks extravaganza for tomorrow night.

on a happier note, since last summer, i lost 15 lbs and am hoping to get another 15 off this summer. also, related to that, i am going on 2 dates this week, with 2 DIFFERENT boys (can you believe it?) sadly neither is the sweet jewish boy who keeps coming into the store that i pine for, but they are both young and virile.

has anyone read the play "endgame" by samuel beckett? i just started that and finally "the motion of light in water" by the lovely chip delany. i finished and really enjoyed the book about carrington i just finished and thoroughly hated 'live girls' by beth nugent.
