i stopped in to our local organic/natural foods store this weekend. i've become a bit concerned about all the hormones and antibiotics and chemicals injected into our food - meats and dairy products in particular - so thought i'd look around and see what they had. i bought bison instead of burger - yummy!!!!! it has much more flavor than beef and is so much healthier as well. it's a little pricey compared to beef, but then again it doesn't all cook away either. i think the guy said it was 2g fat/serving as opposed to something like 14g/serving of beef??? anyhoo, it was great and the whole family liked it better.

my daughter thinks i'm trying to turn us into hippies. hahahahahaha been there, done that kiddo!!!!! well, as best as i can remember the 70's anyhoo!!!

speaking of, i am meeting an old college friend tonight for the second time in as many weeks. we ran into each other at a restaurant a month or so again and said we'd get together, exchanged phone numbers, and actually called each other!! we met 2 weeks ago and neither of us could stop talking - i mean we both almost passed out from talking so much and not breathing properly!! there was 25 years to catch up on!!! so, yay!! another fun evening ahead.
