outtamyhead
sometimes it all comes outtamyhead, and sometimes i'm just outtamyhead. period.

i guess i started this journal thingy out of boredom at a job i used to have. i stay here because i've come to know and love some of the people i've "met". you know who you are!!!

live simply so that others may simply live

12...

12 days, not 12 steps.

although...

never mind.

****

did i say i love working at the florist???

ask me next weekend after i've worked 12 days straight standing on my feet.

in this case i'm glad they're big. maybe they'll provide more stability for me.

not much has changed in the floral industry from when i worked at a shop over 20 years ago.

it's my body that's changed. my legs get tired quicker, and they hurt at night. i don't remember that from working there when i was a youngin.

but i'm not going to complain. much.

i really do like it, even tho my nails are now green from cutting flowers. there's so much that's satifsying in doing the work.

i'm moving around, not sitting or driving all day. i feel more energetic than i have in months. i guess it has something to do with getting the gall bladder out too, but i actually feel like i'm exercising too. and i am.

the people are nice, so far. the owners are flexible. i can go pick up my daughter at school at 4, even tho i don't get off til 5. they let me take her back to the shop if i need to or deliver her to choir practice.

i made a post a while back about our downtown, and remember saying that i'd like to live there. now i work there too, so i don't know what's keeping us from moving.

MONEY??? yeah, that'd be it.

anyhoo, it's nice. i like it.

sunday we have about 5000 roses coming in that have to be cleaned, dethorned, cut and put away.

chocolates, people. give chocolates for valentines day. flowers die, chocolates live forever on our hips. they're an investment.

heh.

xoxo
