outtamyhead
sometimes it all comes outtamyhead, and sometimes i'm just outtamyhead. period.

i guess i started this journal thingy out of boredom at a job i used to have. i stay here because i've come to know and love some of the people i've "met". you know who you are!!!

live simply so that others may simply live

boys and girls...

katherine's friend natalie is here. there's giggles and laughter and loud but incomprehensible chatter coming from her bedroom.

yay!!!!!!! they're making even dave and i smile. this is the kind of stuff 12 year old girls are suppose to do.

we'll have pizza for dinner. i bought tons of popcorn, several kinds of chocolates, and CAFFEINE FREE mountain dew and dr pepper, so they can make dr dew, ya know??? nothing is simple with high maintenance girls.

i had a few hours with my son yesterday. i don't know if it's the gorgeous spring weather, or the pocketfull of cash he had, but he was actually upbeat - laughing, talking, and in a great mood. i dropped him off to meet his british friend holly at a gaming bar. she's a doll. she was all dressed up in her leggings and mini skirt and giggling and hugging on him. she's a short little girl and yet she managed to pick him up and twirl him around like he was nothing. i told him he better watch out for her, she'd have her way with him if he wasn't careful. he said that might be ok...!!

i asked him if the gaming bar sold beer, that i was in the mood for one, and he suggested that i take him and holly out for beers. she's 17.

yaright.

it won't be long tho. he'll be 21 this summer.

egads. am i really old enough to have a kid that old????

if only he were as mature as his height and shoe size, we'd be in good shape.

we had such a good afternoon together. as much as he drives me crazy, he's sweet and damn funny!

i cleaned my patio off this morning. i still need to get daddy's pressure washer and really clean it, but at least i can sit outside now. it's about 80 degrees, sunny, breezy, absolutely beautiful. this is my fave kind of day. we had windows open yesterday and left our bedroom window open last night. i woke to birds chirping and singing this morning (late - my hubby is such a sweetheart - he lets me sleep in and doesn't seem to mind one bit).

****

oops. clouding up a bit now. that's ok. i love a good storm too.

****

so i told the girls i'd take them to the park to play tennis. i know it won't help them to run off any energy - they'll prolly still be up til the wee hours of the morning.

wish me luck...

*heh*

xoxo
