outtamyhead
sometimes it all comes outtamyhead, and sometimes i'm just outtamyhead. period.

i guess i started this journal thingy out of boredom at a job i used to have. i stay here because i've come to know and love some of the people i've "met". you know who you are!!!

live simply so that others may simply live

hey ya'll...

another mother's day come and gone. i worked like a dog last week at the florist, but it was fun. and i'd like to think all the mommies were happy with their flowers.

when i finish an arrangement i look at it and think "is this something i'd be happy to receive?" and if not, i redo it until it is. course the more money you spend the prettier they get, but ain't that just the way? even if someone can't spend a lot, we still try to make it pretty.

so a happy belated mother's day to all you muthas out there.

darling daughter is home sick today. not strep or anything serious, but she still feels poorly. the dr said it's a viral thing and she should be better tomorrow. that's usually how it runs it's course.

i was supposed to work today. we have 67 centerpieces to get ready for wednesday, but i guess her illness came at a good time. i was exhausted from working so many late nights and early mornings last week, so i got caught up on rest today as well.

sometimes i think my kids being a little sick is the universe's way of letting us snuggle and spend time together in the midst of such a hectic life. and i get to baby them a bit too. i'm just glad it's nothing serious.

i got to see my son twice this weekend. i got home from work at 8 saturday night and he came over with his girlfriend. she's the "dancer" altho he still can't tell me what the difference is between "dancer" and "stripper".

i have to admit she's a beautiful and seemingly sweet girl. she could have used a bit more material in the clothing department, aka, her jiggly parts were a bit exposed, but she seemed nice enough. and she is obviously in love (lust) with my beautiful son and he with her as well.

her hometown is a few counties away and they went there along with their respective roommates last week and spent some time with her family. they did "country" kind of things - rafted down a little river, hiked, had a cookout and painted her aunt's house or at least part of it. i'm sure there was partying going on too.

ok, so i'm a little jealous.

what fun, eh??? no responsibilites, just get away from it all for a few days.

on saturday they went to the miss bath county parade and street fair and just hung out.

ahhhhh, young love.

right now i have to go listen to a song my daughter has composed on her keyboard and make her a grilled cheese. i guess it's a good sign she's finally hungry.

xoxo
