You'll know the above if you subscribe to the WotD list from dictionary.com. I did NOT know what "osculation" was, and on first reading the email subject thought it looked like a clinical term, and something I'd probably never need to refer to. Ah haha!

The act of kissing; also: a kiss.

Who woulda thunk? The word sounds so unromantic and well, serious. And now I'm pretty sure the Word of the Day isn't chosen randomly day to day. Or maybe they make exception for Hallmark holidays. Hopefully today is a nice day for everyone anyway, not just 'cause it's St. Valentine's, but also just 'cause it's nice to have nice days. And if you have some osculation coming into it, all the better.
