great flick. MI1 rocked hard--from what I remember of it when it hit DVD several years back--and MI2 sucked bad--from what I remember of it about two/three months ago--but MI3 really hooked me and kept the action and plot happening from the first frame.

it starts with a scene from the ending then reverts to the past so you know what it is heading towards, but the path it takes is highly interesting. the main bad guy is way bad. I wouldnt want to piss him off--and thats exactly what Cruse does, and that is 90% of the plot. the rest is a crazy race to find "the rabbit's foot"

Tom Cruse makes this story believable even with the unreal action scenes; kinda put me in mind of the first Die Hard, actually, with the bad guy's bullets missing his head while his bullets zero-in for a kill. but hey, thats what we like to see, right?

today, after some minor chores, gonna rewatch Inside Man. that, as far as I can remember, is the only movie I watched twice in the same evening--I restarted it as soon as the credits rolled, it was that good. I saw it a third time a few nights ago but fell asleep towards the end. Denzel Washington can do no wrong. he is, in my book, the second best actor ever (aint nobody as cool as Bruce Willis--he is the man). Clive Owen is high [way way high] up that same chart, and this movie introduced me to him. since, Ive rented most everything [with exception/see below] I could find with him in it: Derailed (a perfect movie), Children Of Men (just a total wow--theres an uncut action scene I had to watch three or four times because to pull that off would have to have taken the patience of angels for the actors and film crew. if you see this flick, carefully watch the part where the car is driving backwards). Ive seen The Borne Identity and Sin City with him but dont quite recall his parts, so Ill need to rewatch 'em. plus, theres a host of other movies he's in which I may never watch--some romantic bulshit that I really cant deal with and a few early roles in movies that doesnt suit my fancy.

next in the mailbox from blockbuster online will be Hunted and Blown Away; two Tommy Lee Jones films. the first Ive seen, the other I havent. should be here monday, and if Im in a motivated mood, Ill jot my thoughts about them here.

until we meet again....as is always the case, eh?
