been awhile since Ive been here, but Ive kept notes on the movies airing in this house.

heres whats happened with me and my dvd player lately:

casino royale-- not the best bond Ive ever watched, but still, I mean, come on now, its james bond.

the bourn supremacy-- see above, only a lot better

the machinist-- what a cool drama. its a flick about guilt and how it affects some people (re: #23 below) for a straight-up film, I really dug it.

perfume-- to me, this was too stupid to stay awake for... and at almost 2 & 1/2 hours long, I just gave up. not my kind of flick.

serial killers-- this is some sort of half hour series, four episodes per disc, 3 discs...Ive seen the first one, the second and third are coming soon. very informative, if yer a serial killer fan like me. because its for tv (maybe a&e?) theres little graphic footage, but the depth they interview the police and witnesses is astounding...

8mm2-- only the fact theres a movie camera involved connects this film to the nick cage masterpiece. the movie is actually damn good even tho it tries to be a porno at times.

sixth sense-- what can I say? if ya aint watched this movie yet, what are you waiting for? prolly saw it 4 times so far and I can watch it again no problem...

the number 23-- okay, so I was wrong; jim carrey can make an enjoyable movie. his 'in living color' approach to movies lost me a long time ago. this flick, however, totally blew me away. a great story and carrey held it together perfect. he still has his comic-ish moments, which adds to the horror somehow, but this film is not to be confused with mask or ace ventura in any way--its a great thought provoking movie. 9-ish dead babies

contender-- you like political thrillers? if so, rent or buy this right now. I mean come on, jeff bridges as the prez of the u.s.? really a good movie. 7 & 1/2 DBs

contractor-- not snipes' best, but a well-spent hour and a half.

zodiac-- ummmmmmm.... was okay. its 2 and a half hours long, woulda been a masterpiece trimmed to 90 minutes.

hollow man-- hang out in the girl's restroom, just what Id do too if I were invisible. good sci-fi here folks.

slow burn-- I didnt think ray lolita could hold a movie together as the main character, but he did a hell of a job in this film. its a double-triple-cross cop thrillerdrama that really works. 7 1/2 DBs

the contract-- yes, I like this pretty good. 'course, morgan freeman is top notch. and can you believe he's a bad guy here?

also, instead of paying the water bill, I bought a few vid games...playing van helsing right now and Ill tell you what, Im beyond addicted. I thought I had issues with drugs and gambling...:O

its so fucking hot. I aint put the AC in cuz never needed it before (I put it in one season but it was to keep someone else comfy) but with these 90 degree days and not too much cooler nights, Im sweltering. took a motorcycle ride at dusk and then showered...and now, two hours later, sweating like a lesbian with dead batteries in her toy...its that fucking hot in here

okay, nuff for an evening. gonna toss something in the dvd player to go to sleep with...kinda thinking the #23 cuz it may be my fav flick right now. (course, I do have a shitload of cool movies in my queue; wonder what little gem I might find here in the near future that I wont shut-up about)

g'nite, until we meet again
