had a big movie/life entry going the other day and dammit if the cat didnt shut me down. Salem walked across the powerstrip running this whole show and stepped on the switch thereby killing all my usefull and important words. damn cat: RIP I guess (kidding, little guy was just being a cat) I did flip the powerstrip [switch towards the ground] preventing any further mishaps.

so now I got no idea what movies Ive watched lately, but being the old college trier I am (hahaha) Ill give it a whorl.

Hallowed Ground ...what parts I didnt sleep through I liked. kinda reminded me of Children of the Corn a lot, tho.

Kings of South Beach ...the rise and fall of a nightclub owner padding his pockets with dirty money. not bad, but not a must-see movie either

The Hamiltons ...actually kinda sucked. rarely can you rewrite vampire lore and get away with it; didnt anybody tell these guys?

300 ...great, but I snoozed through the ending. doesnt matter, my buddy owns a copy so I can watch it whenever. still, a top ten must see movie.

Subway Stories ...because of the early darkness and 5:30-6:00AM waking time, its hard to stay awake past ten o'clock nowadays. snoozed through a few movies lately and wasnt happy (course, I catch the rest the next day) but this one I forced myself to sleep. what a dud. ten shorts said to be true stories about the NY subway that if they really happened the artsie way these showed, then you'll never catch me anywhere near a subway. this movie really sucked.

Captivity ...wow. if youre a blood & guts lover, this one does it. lots of pain in this one, and theres even a decent plot.

Chuck and Larry Get Married...[something like that]. an Adam Sandler film that worked. lots of playful gay bashing and stuff. I kinda liked this one.

Licence to Wed ...Robin Williams needs to stick with heavy drama. he just aint funny in these movies anymore...RV sucked, something else I saw sucked, and this one was just at the line of sucking... gimme a good 90 minute stand-up and Ill be happy, but as for films, he doesnt quite make it.

After Dark Films and Lions Gate released a series of movies called 8 Films to Die For. [Penny Dreadful, The Gravedancers, The Abandoned, The Hamiltons, Reincarnation, Unrest, Dark Ride, Wicked Little Things, Hood of Horror, and The Tripper][can anyone tell me why theres 10 films in this list? this is '06's list, '07 is the same, lists 10 films as 8...odd, I reckon]. saw 4 of these so far, got the others ordered. these all offer somethin for horror fans, nothing earthshattering but very watchable (cept for hamiltons...but even that movie was good till the lame ending).

theres more but like always, if I dont comment within a day or so of watching, I dont remember...

my buddy Mikie is back online so got some funzie chess playing going on again. that fucker is nuts I tell ya...cool as hell, but nuts.

found an html site and personally, I think its cool as hell. even a hack like me can do cool things easily now

working my ass off and enjoying it. had a bad summer, got behind, and digging my way out of a hole. I aint worried, I can do it.

okay, 'nuff 'bout that. gotta go brave the chill (aint bad, maybe 40ish out there) and put wood in the basement. had several fires already. man, there aint nothing so cool as a wood fire. wish Id had it the whole time. still scratching my head over the 3500$ winter of 'o5 paying for propane when now all I got is some labor chopping big trees into managable burnable pieces...wow, eh?
