putting together a four-family yard sale sucks big fucking cocks...

Ive been a week of working my regular job in the day and sorting/cleaning/pricing/packing shit in the evening..then friday night was til after 1AM setting the shit up on tables praying to all the Gods to hold back any chance of rain...sleeping what felt like ten minutes and then last minute arranging and then I get this over a nut cracker:

stupid man: "this says a buck."

me: "yep."

stupid man: "give you a quarter."

me, playing the yard sale game: "fifty cents."

stupid man, who is now irking me: "no more than a quarter."

me, half pissed cuz of no sleep, shitty coffee; others involved hoping Id just blow the man for giving me the chance to show my humanity and give him a fine piece of equipment and make the first sale of the day: "fifty cents."

stupid man, setting the nut cracker back down on the table and looking at me like I just raped a baby: "grumble~grumble~grumble..."

and off he went. back in his little stupid car and away to where ever stupid people go at seven-fifty-five on saturday mornings. Ill throw the fucking thing away before Ill sell it to him for a quarter...damn stupid yard sale customers piss me off.

so anyway, I spent maybe three or four hours a nite for three nites, plus like six hours friday, then from seven til for today (figure roughly 25 hours, which doesnt include the time it took to aquire this stuff) and I made just under sixty bucks. thats a whopping $2.40 an hour--what color BMW do I really and truly want...

but I still got tomorrow. maybe Ill sell a nut cracker and run to the bank waving money as I post a down-payment for that mansion on the hill Ive had my eye on.

next week: the story of the tattered paperback books [25 cents each, but will ya take a nickle?] and the in-ground swimming pool. stay tuned people.
