its warm. work is crazy. ya heard the old saying 'make hay while the sun shines?' well, we're making some serious fucking hay. just finished painting a huge cinderblock building which required hanging off ladders in compromising ways. prior to that was a roof, and prior to that was another roof. we start another one monday (maybe tuesday cuz monday is a holiday--not that we care, but the homeowner might. who wants a bunch of smelly roofers running around during a family picnic?) and cuz its posta be kinda hot, we're starting at six in the morning. christ, that doesnt even give me time to take a good shit; I'll be the one holding a tear-off shovel in one hand and a coffee in the other. course, starting that early means out early. might be done by 1 or 2 in the afternoon.

so anyways, I let my hair down and cracked the bottle open. jim beam/pepsi is flowing wonderfully, I must say. vic got her standard busch/mater juice/salt concoction and we both agree it feels good to feel good. I still find it hard to believe Ive been pretty much drunk since I was like 13, then roughly a year & half ago I got tired of drinking. I can count the times I've drank on one two hands and count the times Ive been drunk on less than one.

I dont miss it either.

ummmm, reading a huge amount of books. LA emailed me about keeping a log @ goodreads [a site where readers compare what theyre reading] but I passed cuz Im lazy that way. I mess with the pooter so little that joining a site/maintaining a log is beyond me. besides, it'd take from my reading time.

funny, when I show-up late for work, my boss askes what book Im reading. he knows, I fall asleep with a book and wake-up with a book and during the time in-between, I read a book. right now I got Sandra Brown's Chill Factor and Vic got James Patterson's Jack and Jill. next up is Grishams The Associate. Vic says it way standard fare. Grisham even says he sorta rewrote The Firm with this one. I'll find out here in the next few days.

lets see. recently we've read: Richard Laymon's The Cellar, Sandra Brown's Ricochet and Smoke Screen and Play Dirty (and man is Sandra HOT!. check her website), John Saul's The Presence [ummm, dont rush to the book store for this one...its not that good], Jonathan Kellerman's Bones and (I think the title is} True Detective Stories [two easily forgettable tomes], plus the new issue of The National Inquirer and this month's Maxum.

theres more [way more; one book only lasts 3 days max], but Vic nor I can readily recall any more titles. we read 'em and move on.

ummm....okay, to recap: I work my fucking ass off, I read like theres no tomorrow, I get lax with emailing people {nesa), I pet my cat constantly, and I sleep, wanna know anything else?

just ask............................................................
