I spent another weekend canning things. Applebutter and salsa this time. I didn't have enough cukes to do pickles, but by next weekend, there'll be enough for another batch of those, as well. I've already got about a dozen jars of pickles, and a few jars of pearsauce (more of that next week, too) and this weekend makes about a dozen of salsa.

It's hot, messy work. The chopping, the stirring, the ladeling, the canning itself . . . but the kitchen smells so good while it's going on, and the end results are very yummy. Meanwhile, here are some of the resources I used for canning salsa, and the garlic dill pickles, and for the pearsauce and apple butter. And what I used to get started.
