I woke up this morning at 4:31 (the exact hour and minute of the Northridge earthquake), well before the alarm clock went off. Then I remembered that as I glanced at the clock last night before I went to bed it was 9:11. Hmmmmm...

Sure enough, we've had 3 accidents this morning, 2 with injuries. Time to rev up the old superstition meter. Only I don't know which one to favor: black cats? we have a family of them behind the building. ladders? i have one leaning against the house.
