Where is the top of my desk? I am buried under an avalanche of paperwork. Earlier this week, one of the people who holds the same position as I, mentioned in the hearing of upper management that she didn't have very much to do, so it was no problem being out of the office for a couple of days to assist with personnel selection and hiring.

AWWWKK! We completed the exercise yesterday afternoon and returned to our respective offices this morning to find a massive set of missives waiting. Three or four huge projects with nerve-wracking deadlines were lurking on my desk, in my mailbox and speeding through the fax. I suspect my peers will have words with Ms. Loose-Lips.

Guess the first step is to put paperweights on all the various requests and printouts so they stop gnashing their teeth at me (aargh! the paper cuts!) and then triage them. I will start with the top priority item ASAP. Maybe Tuesday.

But first I have to find the top of my desk. It's under here somewhere....
