Flotsam and Jetsam--the Gemini twins

* cough * I’ve been wandering in and out of reality. This journal entry will no doubt be dislocated as well. I sent my husband to the grocery store to pick up stuff—kleenex, coffee, cheese, juice and Tylenol. He came home with two brands of facial tissues, kona and columbian coffee, cheddar and swiss cheese, apple and grape juice, and Tylenol with decongestant as well as regular Tylenol. The moon must be in Gemini, is all I could think. Or maybe the curse of Noah visited upon our household.

* cough * I've been lacing my water with something called Emer'gen-C. It comes in little packets and you pour it into 8-10 ounces of water, mix well. The label says it has 1,000 milligrams of vitamin C along with 32 mineral complexes and B vitamins. Oh and after you mix it well you're supposed to drink it. Damn, I feel better already.

* cough * I feel well enough to yell at the dog when she barks at imaginary cats or passers-by engaged in innocent conversation. That's something, at least. Yesterday I was just lying there in bed, letting whatever happen, go by unacknowledged. Pretty bad. Today I'm ready to engage my world long enough to yell at the dog, drink my Emer'gen-C infused water, brush my teeth and go back to bed. Progress!

* cough * Did I mention I've been coughing a lot?
