A friend of mine was saying that this week should be an easy one, a quiet time in between periods of hectic activity. Well, I don't know about that. The last few days have been incredibly busy: for the first time in my life, I've been carrying around an appointment calendar and address/phone book and the accounts book I keep for bills due.

Time to get an electronic personal assistant?

Oh, and how could I omit the To Do List? Forget prioritizing--I'm glad just to get the stuff written down and then crossed off when done. I've seen those fancy list making things where you can mark which are high priority. What I need more is to arrange them in order of mobility--which can be done on the way to work (drop mail at the post office), which can be done during lunch break (go to bank) and which on the way home (grocery, pharmacy, 99 Cent Store, Arby's, etc.) depending on the physical location.

If I forget and absent-mindedly drive past the location, I find myself evaluating whether or not I can postpone till tomorrow. Or do I have to get home to make dinner, give meds, sing to tomatoes, etc. Mostly I just think about how I'd like a nap.

The horrible thought just occurred to me: What if this IS, as he said, the quiet time and I can expect a busier time to come? Stop the world. I want to get off!
