I haven't baked bread in a long time. I guess because it's been so hot and my husband has been sick and I have full-time job and getting some sleep seems like a great idea.

But whatever the reason, I hadn't baked any bread recently until yesterday. I made whole wheat honey loaves and they smelled divine while baking. The teenagers who live next door found one excuse after another to hang around the fence that separates our property from theirs, and when the bread had cooled enough, I sliced up a warm loaf and gave it to them.

It disappeared in seconds. My, those teenagers can eat!

Next Sunday my church is having a Breaking Bread (not a baking bed) service and I wanted to remember how to make bread and re-test the recipe with the new batch of flour I bought at Trader Joe's.

Yum. I'm ready to make a new batch on Saturday for the Sunday Thanksgiving service.
