Most of our employees are on vacation this week. I am tasked with doing my own job plus my boss's as well, so for me it's pretty busy.

One of my desk calendars points out that last Sunday was Palm Sunday; this Friday is Good Friday; Sunday is Easter. The other pocket appointment calendar says that there is a Full Moon today and that Passover begins tomorrow at sundown. And also that Sunday is the Orthodox Easter. I'm sure this is all important to my professional work day. Positively on a need-to-know basis.

Yesterday we were talking about Palm Sunday when we were children, and how it was observed (or not). Remember the little palm crosses? Imagine our surprise when the youngest member (17) of our group had never heard of Palm Sunday before, nor the story that goes with it.

Obviously she hasn't been reading my desk calendar. Shalom.
