Rain and Dog
Previous Entry :: Next Entry

Much to everyone's surprise, it rained last night. About an inch, I estimate.

The last time it rained, we had bright flashes of lightning and loud (very loud) booms of thunder. The storm went right over us. Jasmine was terrified.

And I guess she now associates rain with booms and flashes, because last night's pitter-patter of rain on the window awning had her shivering and panting.

I got out the bottle of Doggie Calm and rubbed it on her chest and under her chin. Twenty minutes later she was snoring at the foot of the bed. Yes, the dog snores. Loudly. Snuffles and snorts, too.

And it would seem that the Doggie Calm works on humans as well, because I don't remember much more until the next morning. Slept soundly. A log could take my correspondence course.

Wonder what surprise(s) life has in store for tomorrow?
