Hurricane Force "Santa Ana" Winds
Previous Entry :: Next Entry

The fires burning across Southern California today are being fueled by unusual hurricane-force Santa Ana winds that topped 100 mph. Weather forecasters say the winds and heat will worsen in the coming days.

Right now the humidity has dropped at my house to 7% (it was 46% this morning). And the conditions are expected to be worse tomorrow, Monday, though in what way, the forecasters haven't said.

Usually December and January are our bad Santa Ana months, when we get these dry windy storms and out of control wildfires. It's starting early this year.

I'm glad I'm not driving a truck or bus today.

Also, the electricity is out. I'm running on battery power, so I'll shut down for now.
