I'm really tired of news stories that read and sound like the worst of the soap operas and which have a lifetime longer than "Gunsmoke".

The next time someone falls off the wagon and gets drunk and drugged and cuts off her hair, please don't tell me about it. I don't care.

I don't want to hear the long drawn-out tale of a dysfunctional kid who turns into a killer. The people affected are the real tragedy and they don't need a microphone stuck in their face and some jerk asking how they feel. How the heck do you think they feel? As though the world, their world, has come to an end.
There is no news value to these voyeuristic stories, running them night after night, speculating on a wife gone missing, a husband suspected of murdering her and dumping her body. Just tell me when/if the crime has been solved and move on to the rest of the news.
