Citizenship Test

I knew that the instruction classes for prospective were given in both Spanish and English, but I did not realize that the exam itself is given in both languages.

Since when did the United States of America become a bilingual country?

A common language allows us to communicate with each other; a common language binds us together. When we can understand each other, we can form a more perfect union.

Canada learned this lesson the hard way and the EU is exploring the same ground. India has suffered the consequences of multi-lingualism for decades.

I believe prospective citizens should be required to learn English and should take the test and the oath in English.
