'We hold these truths to be self evident: That all men (and women) are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator (aka the Universe) with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness; that to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government....'

Note, please, that the people do not exist to give rights and money and liberties to the government, but the other way around. Governments exist to secure the rights to the people. The Administration of the first decade of the 21st century seems to have forgotten (or never knew) that second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence. We need to alter or abolish this Administration and to institute a new one.

Never forget it; memorize it to preserve it, when they burn all the founding documents (thinking of Fahrenheit 451) and execute or imprison all the professors/intellectuals (don't look so shocked: history, history, history). It wasn't an ignorant, uneducated, second-rate bunch of anti-elitists who founded our country, but they may be the cause of its demise.

Happy 4th of July. Remember what it's all about.
