Unseasonable Weather

Day after day, the temperatures around here have reached into the 80's midday. The humidity has been as low as 9%, although today it was in the 20% range. Dry and hot, in the dead of winter. Crazy.

I'm told by my local expert that global warming has the consequences we're all experiencing: record-setting extremes of heat and cold, sand storms and hurricanes.

I might as well start planting tomatoes. I don't think we're going to have any more real winter. Tomorrow I'll put my heavy sweaters back into storage--we've had only one day cold enough to wear one.

I wonder if other parts of the world are having weather at the extremes, setting and breaking records.
