As I walked past the downstairs employees' lunch room, the TV was blaring its morning message: STORM WATCH 2009: First storm of the new year.
Really, now. After three weeks of record setting high temperatures in the 80's, we had enough moisture in the air this morning to dampen my car, mixing with the fine dust on it to make rivulets of mud.
Not enough wet to rinse off the car, let along have water running in the gutters and gullies.
Storm watch, indeed. Talk to the Katrina survivors!
