OMG

It hit 100 degrees Fahrenheit today and predicted for 107 degrees tomorrow and Friday. OMG. That's a jump of 15-20 degrees in two days. My sinuses are going on strike. "On strike, shut it down," as we union picketers are wont to say.

I looked for shade after lunch so I could put the car in a little bit cooler spot. As I looked out over the back parking area, and around the building, the cars were all huddled in whatever shade there was (like antelope around a watering hole), parking stalls be damned. Guess I should have staked out my spot earlier. When I got in the car to go home, it was like an oven, even with the windshield shade. Everything was too hot to touch.

I got home about an hour ago and turned on the window A/C in the computer room. I may sleep in here tonight. It has just now begun to cool noticeably, though when I opened the closet door, hot air blurped out.

Even the cats are too hot to put much effort into importunings for tuna.

Iced tea, sleeveless top, shorts, bare feet. Summertime.
