"Should you take a risk this weekend? No, but you should ignore the voice of overwhelming caution. That is not taking a risk; that is taking a firm hand with a force which, left to its own devices, will cover everything and everyone with a cold fog of fear.

"Caution is like ice. It may preserve but it chills, bitterly, all which might otherwise be full of warmth. Risk is like fire. A lot can be dangerous but a little brings heat, light and hope." --Jonathan Cainer

Take the opportunity to get the balance right. Live by your wits, not by your fears, especially not the inauthentic ones that exist only in your head.

I find myself reminded of Robert Frost, Fire and Ice:
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
