Onion Country

Yup. I live in onion country. Temp this morning when I got up was 45.7 degrees Fahrenheit (colder than average). Anticipated high for this afternoon 85 degrees (higher than average). That's quite a range, difficult to manage.

Solution? Dress like an onion. Underneath it all, a sleeveless knit top. Next, over that, a long-sleeved white blouse. And the outer layer a vest (waistcoat? whatever you call it--jacket without sleeves), made from a tapestry fabric, with a Nehru collar.

Still, I'm not warm enough. I should have worn a woolly sweater (jumper). I keep one in the trunk (boot) of my car and I'll grab it to keep on the passenger seat the next time I go outside. Brrrh!

Later on in the day, as it gets hotter, I'll be peeling off the layers, but for right now, I'm an onion. So many layers, I can hardly breathe.
