Boss calls on his cell phone. "We need to get the June daily reports organized and ready for official inspection." He says to send the ones marked 5 or 6 to the central office.

But hold the phone, Jack. First of all, don't we need to do the printouts first, attach them to the daily reports and then send them downtown?

And before that, don't we need to put them in chronological order and try to figure out which part of the off-the-shelf software that we have (most of which doesn't fit our needs) will give us the attachment required by the officials referenced above?

Stop. Think. Write out a plan. Then let me get our little busy bee assistant (she's so good at this!) to sort, distribute, and label manila envelopes in which to send the reports. Each of us will do part of the research, and we'll be done well before the deadline.

Making order out of chaos is what I do best, and I enjoyed the challenge, though I'm ready for my lunch break now, thankyouverymuch.

Aaah, life is good. I feel a real sense of satisfaction.
