I have a theory that trickle down economics does work.

It's like this:

The uber-rich contribute millions to the war chests, PACs, whatever, of the candidates.

The candidates' staffers work with hundreds of media outlets and PR creation outfits and groomers and handlers to make the candidates' public statements, ads, speeches, and so forth.

All those "little people" make big bucks and they in their turn hire littler people to shine their shoes, dry clean their clothing, keep their appointment books and so forth.

Voila! The money has trickled down. And would you please stop muttering about Swiss bank accounts and offshore holdings, yachts and real estate? Thank you.
