Looking at Life

Looking at life, with gratitude and love. Even when walking, with my chest aching, I stop and look up to enjoy the dawn sky, the dripping leaves, the clouds scudding before the wind (and to let my heart recover a bit). It's raining, a nice, soft, gentle rain--the kind that's perfect for parched southern California earth.

I come home to a vociferous cat, telling me of all the loneliness she has experienced while I was out for half an hour, and commenting on the paucity of food in her dish, the lack of a lap to accommodate her. Good thing there are no language decoders for cats; I fear that some of her remarks would be NSFW. She's very loud.

I unwind the scarf from my neck, take off the damp hoodie, close the umbrella, and grab a cup of coffee. Oh, yes, life is good!

And how was your morning?
