Just couldn't face getting up and dealing with the day, so I slept in until almost 7 a.m., which, for me, is nearly unheard-of. I got 8 hours sleep, and it was well worth it, though I'll probably spend the rest of the day trying to catch up on all the things on my To Do list.

This would probably be an ideal time to prioritize said list, since many of the items (glancing to my left to look at the items) are things I'd like to do, but can be postponed. In ten years, heck 10 days, who is going to know or care whether or not I went out to buy a backup stash of coffee today?

Other things are time critical. I have to go to the post office and buy stamps for a mailing that needs to go out ASAP. The other people involved in the project have fallen by the wayside (life has this way of interfering) and it has been left to me to complete the project. That's OK; I'm sure the time will come when the situation will be reversed. Today will be a reminder not to feel guilty about it when circumstances are reversed.

I'm cursed with a strong sense of responsibility and a driving need to get things done on time or even early (and get them off my list and out of my life). There are only a few things, like my garden, which demand a timeline of their own, stretched out over weeks and months, and are enjoyable in and of themselves.

Tasks? Done, and done.
