Same Time, Same Station

Do any of you remember that phrase from the days of radio? "Tune in tomorrow [or next week] for another exicting episode of Search for Tomorrow [or the Lone Ranger or whatever], same time, same station." I can hear the announcer's voice in my inner ear, even now.

Or maybe it's the voices in my head, telling me, "same time, same station." Wheee...

Feeling good this morning. Nothing like 7 solid hours of sleep to make an overcast morning seem brighter. Energy levels high, optimistic almost always. I've been known to get positively silly when I feel this good.

Who, me? Practical, earnest, planner-type person feels light and happy? Yup, it happens. And when the sad and stressful times roll around, I remember that everything is cyclical. I'll feel better one day, as I do today. And today, when everything seems great, I am mindful that sorrow is just around the corner. Nothing is forever.

So, like the grasshopper in Aesop's fable, I'll live in the sunshine, grateful for the good times, accepting of the bad times.

Right now, this moment, you and I, is all we have. It is enough.
