My Friend Tia sent me this.  I thought I would share it with you all.  Definitely a good cause, but can we do this?  Can I do this?  I shouldn't be spending one damn dime any day, but it just happens sometimes.  I just filled up my tank with gas today so I'm o.k. there.  Maybe if we all get together it can make a difference.

Since our religious leaders will not speak out against the war in Iraq, since our political leaders don't have the moral courage to oppose it, Inauguration Day, Thursday, January 20, 2005, is "Not One Damn Dime Day" in America. On "Not One Damn Dime Day" those who oppose what is happening in our name in Iraq can speak up with a 24-hour national boycott of all forms of consumer spending. During "Not One Damn Dime Day" please don't spend money. Not one damn dime for gasoline. Not one damn dime for necessities or for impulse purchases. Not one damn dime for nothing for 24 hours.

Anyhow, today was productive.  I didn't watch any TV, so I don't know what's going on, but I accomplished a lot.  Matthew has finals this week so I took about two hours editing one of his take home finals.  He has great ideas and analyzes things so well.  I work on my analytical skills daily and editing his papers shows me how far ahead of the game he is.  I figure by Junior year he won't even ask me to help edit his papers.  He's awesome.  Of course his paper was on the the Lord of the Rings so that was a wonderful diversion from Evidence.  lol.
