2005-02-21 8:17 PM Rain and Dead People! Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: OK now. Read/Post Comments (1) Here I am at the hotel. I arrived yesterday and started the last minute memorization. I don't know why, but I can't seem to do that until right at this time. I am much more focused now and relaxed (considering), but it is almost time. I arrived here pretty early and checked in and laid out all my stuff in piles on one bed and then laid down on the other bed and worked on a final review of each subject. Today I worked on my laptop just typing out the rules to go quickly from my head to my fingers. It really works well taking the exam on the laptop. The last time I took the exam was the first time I took it on laptop. It was so much easier. I am a super fast typist so it relieves a lot of stress to know that the exam reader can read it and not squint through the handwriting. I mean, my handwriting isn't bad, even under test stress, actually I write too big and it looks rather annoying. So with the laptop, it is rather generic, and the grader can just get down to the meat of what is being said. I sat here and went through the last several exams to see what subjects were tested and what the topics where. I am really shocked to announce that a full contracts has not been on the last four exams. I didn't realize that. So, I'm cramming here on Ks. I think even when I took the exam in 2003 they said there was going to be a contracts UCC and I remember preparing for that. Well, it hasn't been tested so yikes, I think it's time. I'm hoping that won't hit until Thursday though so I am a little more sure of all the stuff I need to talk about. Oh well. My goal is to get through tomorrow morning. I will know going in that any of 13 subjects could appear. After the morning session, I will know what will not be on the exam, except for Professional Responsibility. That has been tested as a full exam and as a call in a second essay on the last few exams. So by Thursday morning, I will have a better handle on what may still be there and can do some more last minute focused "cramming" on Wednesday night. It's late right now considering, 8:25, but I have a lot of adrenaline rush so I'm not going to force myself to go to sleep. I never have on any test. I just doze off when I feel like I need to. Even as late as 1:00 a.m. or 2:00 a.m. Getting up is not a problem for me. All I can say is last year at this time I felt much better about it all, but it's just coming down to going out there and doing it. Oh, well, it's been raining pretty hard. It rained all night last night and through today. I think it's stopped, I have no idea now. The hotel provides a complimentary USA Today newspaper and I was so shocked to read about Hunter S. Thompson's suicide. What a bummer. Well, I opened the paper and there was a picture of him and Johnny Depp and Benicio Del Toro from the premiere of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. That was nice to see the picture but very sad under the circumstances. I couldn't believe that Sandra Dee died too. I didn't realize she was so young. Bonnie Raitt's dad died too. Yikes! Off I go into the wild blue yonder! Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
