I have a raging sinus infection. Or something akin to it. What started out three weeks ago as mild vertigo is now cranial pain so severe that last night a Tylenol #3 didn't cut it.

I have this vestibular disorder that manifests itself when the fluid in my ears get thick, such as when a virus is coming on. I'll have no symptoms of the cold, but I get dizzy and mildly nauseated and wonder why. About three days into that, I think, "I coulda hadda V-8! Of course! I'm getting sick! Well, let's see what it will be this time."

Then I had a spell of nothing. Or, rather, less but still occuring vertigo stuff. Last week, however, this all came home to roost in my face and head. I had piercing headaches that made my palate throb and my eyes bulge (or it felt like it, at least). I had earaches. I cried last Friday at my desk because I was so exhausted I couldn't funtion. Did I mention that I've had a low-grade fever this whole time? Yeah, I broke into a sweat wiping the water off the bathroom floor after my shower yesterday.

There seems to be a number of signs pointing to something...

Off to the doctor today to make my case for a course of antibiotics. No way around the good old allopathic model on this one. I've tried the other way: garlic, wasabi, spicy beef noodle soup from the Vietnamese place, cold packs, hot compresses, lavender, neti pot, hot tea.

I just got out of bed and I need a nap. Poo.
