My mom and I went out to Costco and Kohls, where I did some uninspired shopping. My mom always wants me to feel good about new clothes, but I seldom do. I got black jeans to wear on my motorcycle, and a few t-shirts, and some underwear in festive spring colors. Okay, I admit it, I do like the knickers.

Saw my friend M and his bike, "Nickel", in Fremont. That turned into a late-night party with music and two shots of Hot Damn. I forgot how much fun it is to just turn up the music and sing at the top of my voice. Hell, they're his neighbors, not mine.

Went to Cycle Barn and Seattle Harley-Davidson to check out the used bikes and talk with someone about the possibility of modifying my foot controls. My frame doesn't have anywhere to move the pegs, but they are too far forward. My back hurts after 50 miles of continuous riding. I'm actually more interested in getting a V-Star. Them're sexy.

Started up Layla (the most beloved Shadow VT600 VLX) this morning. Many protests at being left to the cold and damp for two months. Note to self: take in the saddle bags or they get a little moldy.

Now if the cable guy would just get here, I could go on a motorcycle ride. Why is it that when the cable company says "between 12 noon and 4pm", it's always more like 4pm? Chafe, chafe, chafe. I mean, have you seen this day? 53 degrees in late January, clear and sunny? Let me OUT!!!
